Here are players who made the biggest impact on April 11 and the stats to prove it.
TOP PERFORMERS OF THE DAY:
Bol Manute Bol TNT C 35 PTS | 14 REB | 4 BLK | 66.8 FPS
The super import was nearly unstoppable inside the arc, converting 11-of-14 attempts, but it was the opposite from three-point range, as he missed all four of his shots. The same is true at the line, where he has now gone 36-for-66 in the conference. Despite that, he continues to rack up the points, leading the league with 35.0 points per game. Defensively, he has been just as impressive, averaging a league-best 3.2 blocks per contest.
Marvin Jones MER C 32 PTS | 14 REB | 2 BLK | 60.3 FPS
In his first game in the league, Jones showcased his offensive caliber, nearly posting 30 points on efficient shooting against Converge. He briefly slowed down afterward, but he has turned it back up in his last three games, averaging 28.3 points while also recording 10+ rebounds in each of his last five outings.
Mubashar Ali TER C 24 PTS | 17 REB | 2 STL | 50.9 FPS
The big man took the league by storm in his first three games, averaging 33.0 points, including a 50-point explosion against Converge. However, he has gone cold since, and his struggles were evident again today as he went a dismal 1-for-10 from three. Still, he managed to reach the 20-point mark for the fourth time this conference. Despite his offensive struggles, he remained consistent on the boards, leading the league with 18.5 rebounds per game.
Crispin John Cansino MER SF 23 PTS | 7 REB | 2 BLK | 43.9 FPS
The versatile wing came through on both ends today. Offensively, he finished second on the team in scoring, notching his fourth game this conference with at least 19 points. Defensively, he was just as impactful, matching his conference-high in rebounds while also leading the team with four stocks.
Jenning Leung MBK SG 21 PTS | 7 REB | 4 STL | 43.4 FPS
It wasn’t the most efficient performance, but he still finished with at least 20 points for the fourth time while also tying his conference-best marks in both rebounds and steals. Though the Knights are still winless, he continues to be a bright spot for the team, averaging 18.1 points, 5.8 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 2.5 steals in the tournament.
Phoenix Cardena Shackelford MBK SG 29 PTS | 3 AST | 2 STL | 39.3 FPS
Limited to just 6 points against San Miguel, Shackelford got back on track today and finished as the second-best scorer of the game. He shot efficiently from all ranges and finished with his fifth 18-point performance and also recorded a new conference-high.
Calvin John Oftana TNT SF 20 PTS | 12 REB | 1 STL | 37.9 FPS
The forward really struggled offensively in their previous game against the Bolts, going 0-for-5 from three and finishing with a conference-low 10 points. But he picked up his game today, shooting well from everywhere on the court to reach the 20-point mark for the first time this conference. He’s been mostly solid in this tournament, but he definitely still has another gear to reach. In the Philippine Cup, he finished with at least 20 points nine times.
Jerrick Vincent Ahanmisi TER SG 19 PTS | 7 REB | 6 AST | 37.4 FPS
Even though he recorded his fifth game this conference with at least 18 points, his struggles were hard to overlook. He was terribly inefficient from the two-point area, converting just 1-of-8, and was even worse from the four-point line, missing all five tries. Still, Ahanmisi has been excellent in the conference, and he hasn’t had many performances like this so far.
Ramon Cao MBK C 20 PTS | 8 REB | 2 AST | 32.6 FPS
The former Hong Kong Eastern big man finished with his best scoring game of the conference while also recording at least 7 rebounds for the fourth time.
BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT OF THE DAY:
Jordan Timothy Heading TNT SG 2 PTS | 6 AST | 1 BLK | 14.2 FPS
The sharpshooting guard has shown a new dimension to his game this conference with his playmaking, even posting a conference-high in assists today. However, his overall production remains underwhelming. He continues to struggle offensively, going just 1-for-7 from the field today and scoring four points or fewer thrice in five games.
