Here are the players who made the biggest impact on May 31 and the stats to prove it.

TOP PERFORMERS OF THE DAY:

Justin Brownlee GIN SF 31 PTS  | 15 REB | 5 AST | 63.5 FPS

The superstar import was his usual dominant self, racking up his 11th 30-point game and sixth 10-rebound performance of the conference. Despite dealing with a hamstring injury in this series, JB has kept pushing forward, and there’s no reason he can’t carry that same momentum into the Finals.

Rhon Jay Abarrientos GIN PG 30 PTS | 6 REB | 7 AST | 57.7 FPS

By any measure, Abarrientos was outstanding in Game 6. In scoring, he secured back-to-back 30-point games by shooting 6-for-9 from two-point range and 6-for-8 at the line, while also knocking down four triples. He was just as dominant across the board, leading all players in assists and steals while also matching his conference-high in rebounds.

Christopher Albert McCullough TNT C 22 PTS  | 13 REB | 7 AST | 52.1 FPS

This was certainly his least efficient game of these playoffs. He was really off offensively, converting just 6-of-17 from the field while also committing a game-high five turnovers. Regardless, he still delivered a huge performance, scoring at least 20 for the third-straight game while leading both teams in rebounds and assists.

Earl Scottie Thompson GIN SF 16 PTS  | 8 REB | 6 AST | 36.6 FPS

Following back-to-back subpar performances, Thompson found his groove today, turning in a highly efficient, well-rounded outing. He continues to impress offensively, posting at least 15 points in all but one playoff game. He is just as impactful in the secondary categories, finishing second on the team in both rebounds and assists.

Jordan Timothy Heading TNT SG 30 PTS  | 1 REB | 1 AST | 31.7 FPS

This was exactly the kind of performance the team had been waiting for, and he finally delivered. He was on fire from the three-point area, knocking down 7-of-10 to secure his highest-scoring game of the conference. His offensive breakthrough couldn’t have come at a better time.

Adrian Clarence Nocum ROS SG 16 PTS | 3 REB | 7 AST | 30.1 FPS

Offensively, Nocum continues to deliver. Although less efficient than usual, he still scored at least 15 points for the fifth time in the series and paired it with game-high and conference-high assists. Throughout the conference, he has shown strong growth as a scorer and should only continue to get better moving forward.

Clifford Marion Hodge MER PF 11 PTS  | 7 REB | 2 STL | 29.4 FPS

Despite some inconsistency, Hodge’s impact has been huge for Meralco in this series, and he did the same today, contributing strongly on both sides of the court. Still, he stood out most in rebounding, recording four offensive rebounds and reaching the 2,000 mark in defensive rebounds, becoming just the second player in franchise history to do so.

Gian Robert Mamuyac ROS SF 25 PTS  | 2 REB | 27.4 FPS

Mamuyac opened the series on a high note, putting up 18 points in each of the first two games. However, he has gone cold since then, averaging just 10 points over the next three games. Today, though, he rose to the occasion, shooting 8-of-11 on two-pointers and converting 6-of-7 from the line to finish with the second-most points on the team.

Calvin John Oftana TNT SG 12 PTS  | 7 REB | 1 BLK | 25.9 FPS

For their first five playoff games, Oftana has been a force offensively, averaging 18.0 points per outing. However, he’s been less effective since, scoring 12 points or fewer for the third-straight game. Even so, his overall performance was solid, and he should continue to deliver in the Finals.

Louis Raphael Cu GIN SF 11 PTS | 5 REB | 3 AST | 23.5 FPS

Just as he did in Game 5, the forward stepped up in a huge way today, knocking down three three-pointers while also impacting the game in multiple areas. With the way he’s been playing lately, he’s going to be a major asset for Ginebra for a long time.

Roger Ray Pogoy TNT SF 8 PTS  | 2 REB | 4 AST | 19.4 FPS

Recently, Pogoy’s offensive production has declined, and it reached a low point today with his worst scoring game of the playoffs. However, given how dominant he was early in the postseason, he should be able to turn it back up at any time.

Brandon Arnell Ganuelas-Rosser TNT C 9 PTS  | 7 REB | 1 AST | 17.9 FPS

Foul trouble has always been an issue for BGR, and that was evident again in this series, as he averaged 4.5 fouls over six games. Even so, he still did his job impressively, shooting a perfect 4-for-4 today while also finishing second on the team in rebounds.

Kelly Williams TNT C  7 PTS | 1 REB | 1 STL  | 11.2 FPS

TNT continues to get a steady, veteran production from Williams in these playoffs. Over the last four games of the matchup, he has been a solid presence on the boards, and he made an even bigger impact today, posting his best scoring game of the tournament.

George Isaac Go GIN C 9 PTS  | 1 REB | 10.2 FPS

Go made his presence felt in Game 6, going 2-for-2 from three to match his best scoring game of the conference. Though he hasn’t had many of these performances with Ginebra, he’s definitely capable of contributing at a high level on offense, as he showed during his time with Terrafirma.

Jeth Troy Rosario GIN PF 4 PTS | 6 REB  | 1 TO | 10.2 FPS

Offensively, Rosario struggled to find his rhythm in Game 6 after getting into early foul trouble. Despite that, he still managed to impact the game positively, recording his third straight five-rebound outing.

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT OF THE DAY:

Stephen Jeffrey Holt GIN SG 6 PTS  | 1 AST | 7.5 FPS

Since the start of the month, Holt’s production had been underwhelming and things only got worse today. Though he had a fantastic start, knocking down back-to-back threes in the first quarter, he went completely silent afterward, failing to score again and contributing minimally in other areas.
