Simply put, King was incredible against Terrafirma. The San Miguel import put on a show offensively, dropping 23 third-quarter points and shooting 11-for-17 overall. He was equally dominant elsewhere, recording game-highs in rebounds and assists to go with four stocks. Through his first five games, opposing teams simply haven’t found an answer for him.
De’Vondre Perry MGP PF 34 PTS | 14 REB | 2 STL | 56.8 FPS
Through his first five games of the conference, the Macau import has been a dominant force, and today was no exception. He led the charge offensively, scoring 19 points in the first half before finishing with a game-high total. He also made a huge impact on the boards and now leads the league with 15.0 rebounds per game.
Justin Anthony Strings TER PF 34 PTS | 8 REB | 2 STL | 49.1 FPS
The Terrafirma import was at it again offensively, pouring in 21 first-half points on a stellar 10-of-13 shooting from the field. Though he was solid in his first two games, he’s been even more impressive lately, averaging 34.5 points over his last four games.
Maverick Ahanmisi TER SG 20 PTS | 9 REB | 8 AST | 42.8 FPS
The veteran guard came out firing early, scoring 10 points, including two three-pointers, in the first quarter. He couldn’t sustain that momentum in the second half, however, going scoreless in the third quarter before adding six points in the fourth. Still, he found other ways to contribute, finishing with a conference-high in rebounds while leading all players in assists.
Joshua Eugene Munzon TGR SF 25 PTS | 6 REB | 5 AST | 42.7 FPS
This was the kind of performance Titan had been hoping for from their star guard. Not only did he fill up the stat sheet, but he finally found his rhythm as a scorer, shooting 7-for-11 from two-point range and 3-for-5 from deep for his first 20-point game of the conference. In the Commissioner’s Cup, he reached that mark seven times.
Damian Chongqui MGP PG 29 PTS | 3 AST | 3 STL | 40.7 FPS
Once again, the Macau guard put his scoring prowess on full display, finishing as one of the top scorers in the game. Though he continued to struggle from deep, going 2-for-14 over his last five games, he’s been steady from two, shooting 56% while going 25-for-29 from the free-throw line over his last three outings.
Shaun Geoffrey Chiu TER C 6 PTS | 12 REB | 6 BLK | 37.9 FPS
The No. 1 overall pick certainly made his presence felt on defense, recording his fourth double-digit rebound game of the conference. He was even more impressive in blocking, setting a new career high and raising his average to a league-best 2.5 blocks per game.
Fran Louie Yu TGR PG 12 PTS | 5 AST | 4 STL | 32.3 FPS
The only issue for Yu today was his turnovers. Otherwise, he was excellent, shooting well, contributing solid numbers in the secondary categories, and posting a conference-best mark in steals.
John Bryan Sajonia TGR SG 19 PTS | 3 STL | 1 BLK | 31.7 FPS
Despite some inefficiency, this was a solid offensive performance from the Titan guard nonetheless. He got going early, dropping 15 points in the first half to record his best scoring game of the conference.
June Mar Fajardo SMB C 6 REB | 2 STL | 3 BLK | 31.2 FPS
Overall, the nine-time MVP made a significant impact with his contributions on the defensive end. In terms of scoring, however, this was another quiet performance. With plenty of firepower around him, we may not see many big scoring games from him like we used to but he should continue to be a dependable double-double force.
Jerrick Vincent Ahanmisi SMB SG 26 PTS | 3 AST | 30.5 FPS
It took a while for him to find his rhythm, but he finally delivered, putting up his best performance yet with San Miguel. He was flawless from two, hitting 5-of-5, while adding four threes and a four-pointer to lock in his 12th 20-point game of the season.
Celedonio Trollano SMB SF 22 PTS | 5 REB | 2 AST | 28.0 FPS
This was another quality performance from Trollano. As usual, he provided a big spark on the offensive end, scoring nine points in the third quarter and finishing with a new conference-high output.
Kobey Lam MGP SG 12 PTS | 1 STL | 1 BLK | 22.1 FPS
Lam failed to make his usual offensive impact against Terrafirma, attempting just nine shots and finishing with his lowest scoring output in five games. Even so, he came through when it mattered most, converting on a fastbreak to give his team the lead and securing a crucial offensive rebound to seal the win.
Marcio Lassiter SMB SG 13 PTS | 3 REB | 3 AST | 22.1 FPS
The shooting guard put on an elite shooting display early, scoring 10 points on a perfect 4-for-4 from the field. Despite struggling at times in this conference, he remains a threat in games like these, especially from deep, where he has shot 6-for-10 over his last three games.
BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT OF THE DAY:
Tirrell Dwayne Brown II TGR PF 15 PTS | 7 REB | 4 AST | 31.4 FPS
Though he still managed to put together a solid overall performance, Brown’s offensive struggles are hard to ignore. He couldn’t find his rhythm offensively, shooting just 4-for-13 from the field while committing four turnovers.
