The San Beda Lady Red Spikers clinched the gold medal in NCAA Season 101 Women’s Beach Volleyball after defeating the Benilde Lady Blazers last Sunday in a thrilling three‑set duel, 18‑21, 21‑7, 15‑8, at the Nuvali Sand Courts in Santa Rosa, Laguna.

After dropping a tightly contested opening set, the duo of Bea Udarbe and Marielle Teves shifted the momentum with a dominant second frame, showcasing composure and precision. They carried that intensity into the deciding set, overpowering Benilde to secure the championship.

Bea Udarbe Bags Multiple Awards for San Beda

The victory marked San Beda’s third women’s beach volleyball title and their first since completing back‑to‑back championships in Season 94. Udarbe’s standout campaign earned her multiple accolades, including Most Valuable Player, Rookie of the Year, and Freshman of the Year, while head coach Paul Jan Doloiras was honored as Coach of the Year.

Despite the loss, Benilde’s squad—composed of Doreen Baguio, Shandara Baba, and Majella Mari Maglinao—delivered a memorable finals appearance, their first in two decades, and pushed San Beda through a demanding contest from start to finish.

For the bronze medal, the EAC Lady Generals secured a podium finish against the Perpetual Lady Altas.
