The grind doesn’t stop for Filipina bet Alex Eala. After competing at the Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open, the 20-year-old already has the road ahead mapped out with three tournaments lined up in the next month or so—and they are all of the WTA 1000 variety.

After a quarterfinals exit in singles and a semifinals elimination in doubles in the WTA 500 Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open, Alex Eala is now set to compete in Doha, Qatar.
Her first match in the Qatar TotalEnergies Open 2026 will be against Tereza Valentová. The 18-year-old Czech is currently ranked No. 44 in th world, or just one spot ahead of the Quezon City native.
Eala and Valentová faced off once before, with the Czech notching a straight sets victory in the Round of 32 of the WTA 250 Kinoshita Group Japan Open 2025.
The match of Alex Eala against Tereza Valentoza is set to take place on February 9 with the time yet to be determined as of this writing.
WTA 1000 Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships

Eala is in the qualifying player list of the 2026 Dubai Tennis Championships.
While the 2025 WTA 125 Guadalajara Open champ is listed only in singles competition, it’s still possible she’ll compete also in doubles.
Among the other big names participating in this tournament are Maya Joint, Leylah Fernandez, Iga Swiatek, Aryna Sabalenka, and the defending champion, Mirra Andreeva.
WTA 1000 BNP Paribas Open

The WTA 1000 BNP Paribas Open is often viewed as the fifth Grand Slam behind the Australian Open, French Open (Roland Garros), Wimbledon, and US Open.
Eala is included in the tournament’s Singles Player List. The Paribas Open will also feature Eala’s Southeast Asian doubles teammate Janice Tjen, defending champion Mirra Andreeva, Elena Rybakina, Coco Gauff, Jessica Pegula, Emma Raducanu, and Naomi Osaka.
