After beating two top 10 foes to reach the semis of the Berlin Tennis Open, Alex Eala will next face World No. 13 Linda Noskova.

Seeded eighth in Berlin, the 21-year-old Czech has won one WTA title in her career, claiming the 2024 Monterrey Open crown. Noskova has also reached five career finals, although she fell short of adding more titles under her name.

One of the highlights of her grass-court career came during last year’s Wimbledon Championships. Entering the Grand Slam as the No. 30 seed, Noskova battled her way into the fourth round with victories over Bernarda Pera, Eva Lys, and Kamilla Rakhimova—an impressive feat for a then-20-year-old player.

Her campaign eventually ended in the Round of 16 after a grueling three-set loss to Amanda Anisimova.

Noskova vs. Eala Is a Rematch

Earlier this year, Noskova delivered a masterclass against Eala in the Round of 16 of the BNP Paribas Open, defeating the Filipina in straight sets.

Carrying a 3-0 record on grass this 2026 season, the Czech standout appears more than ready for another tough showdown against Eala.

Meanwhile, Eala continues to build momentum as she improved her grass-court record to 9-1 this season. Armed with the confidence of defeating two Top 10 players—Elena Rybakina and Elina SvitolinaRybakina and Elina Svitolina—in the same week, along with capturing the WTA 125 Birmingham title, Eala has shown that she is capable of pulling upset wins against the best players in the world.
