The world’s attention is currently fixed on the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup Final between defending champions Argentina and surprising upstarts Spain on Monday, July 20, at 3:00 AM.
However, a third-place game will first be played on Sunday, July 19, at 5:00 AM between England and France, who succumbed to Argentina and Spain, respectively, in the semifinals.
While some fans might pass up on this matchup, we think it is a showdown that should still garner attention.
Below are our Daily Fantasy Pick’em selections for the bronze medal matchup.
F Kylian Mbappe, France (Goals: 0.5)
Kylian Mbappe and the rest of the French squad were sorely lacking their signature aggression in their matchup with Spain, and it should be expected that they come out guns blazing against England. With a chance to take home a podium finish, the Real Madrid star is more than likely to net at least one goal.
Prediction: Higher

MF Jude Bellingham, England (Shots: 2)
The breakout star for the Three Lions in the 2026 World Cup, Jude Bellingham has been an absolute revelation on offense. Though he has a close affinity with Los Blancos teammate Kylian Mbappe, Bellingham will give it his all to give England their best-ever finish at the World Cup since winning it all back in 1966.
Prediction: Higher

RW Ousmane Dembele, France (Shots Assisted: 2)
France have their work cut out for them against an England side that has proven to be a tough nut to crack on defense. Although Mexico and Argentina cracked the holes in their defense in the knockout stages (plus Thomas Tuchel’s head-scratching tactics), England should be ready enough to contain the French attack and prevent Ousmane Dembele from getting anywhere close to two assists.
Prediction: Lower

LB Nico O’Reilly, England (Shots Assisted: 0.5)
The English offense has been heavily reliant on the production of their midfielders and forwards, not so much the defensive wingers. 21-year-old Nico O’Reilly has been a solid piece for manager Thomas Tuchel, but we do not see any way he can notch an assist against a talented France side.
Prediction: Lower
